CrossPix Instructions

Each CrossPix puzzle is actually a picture made up of colored cells. The numbers around the puzzle tell us about the blocks of cells that make up the pictures.

The numbers at the left of the puzzle tell us about the blocks of cells in each row and the numbers at the top tell us about the blocks of cells in each column.

For example, the first row of this puzzle has a single block (because there is only one number) and the block has a single black cell (because the number is a black "one").

Since all of the numbers in this puzzle are black we know that the only colors in this puzzle are white and black (numbers for blocks of white cells are never shown).

Look at the sixth column. This column will have one block with ten cells. Since the puzzle is only ten cells high, we know that all of the cells in this column must be black.

The shortcut to blacken gray cells in a column is to control-click in the number area of the column. When we finish a column (or row), the numbers (in this case the "10") become bold.
